Church of South India inaugurated
Anglican, Methodist, Presbyterian, and Congregationalist communities join in the Church of South India after decades of negotiation. This union is a significant example of Protestant ecumenism in South Asia.
Tradition note
The Church of South India is a united church with its own history and polity, not a model for every Protestant denomination.
