Key points
- The congregation sings a cappella, with the worshippers’ voices providing the music.
- Seat design and rows are illustrative; no instrument is added to this selected example.
- Honolulu church of Christ; Honolulu, Hawaiʻi, United States. Contemporary a cappella congregation. This selected Churches of Christ example is not the United Church of Christ. Restoration Movement congregations vary. Honolulu describes its aim as simply Christians; the Protestant selector is an organizational grouping rather than a claim about everyone’s preferred identity. Honolulu’s own account supports unaccompanied singing and weekly Communion; omissions in this model do not establish other congregations’ rules.
- Coordinates, dimensions, materials, room envelope, seat counts and unspecified furniture placement are illustrative rather than surveyed measurements. Teaching sources establish practices, not architectural dimensions. Service equipment is temporary where labeled.
