Apostle Simon the Zealot
Simon is distinguished from Simon Peter by the designation Cananaean or Zealot in the apostolic lists.
Scripture
- Matthew 10:2-4 — Matthew calls him Simon the Cananaean.
- Mark 3:16-19 — Mark uses the Cananaean designation.
- Luke 6:13-16 — Luke calls him Simon who was called the Zealot.
- Acts 1:13 — Simon the Zealot is named after the Ascension.
