Ecclesiastes 9: what the dead no longer do
About this date: No new date claim.
Ecclesiastes says the dead know nothing and no longer share in what happens under the sun, then urges the living to act while they can. A challenge to departed intercession must consider this language. Its scope—earthly activity or all conscious existence—is interpreted differently.
